Support Worker

We are looking for motivated, reliable people to join our dedicated team of staff to support people with learning & physical disabilities to live personalized, rewarding lives in the community. Your role will be to provide a high-quality service to the people we support. You will be required to remain in line with the values and policies of the organization, enabling people we support to lead independent and fulfilled lives. You will work in a team and occasionally be expected to have flexible working hours. You may be required to work across different work locations in a defined local area where this is a requirement of the service. As a Support Worker, you may be required to work alone and be the responsible person on duty.

You will report into the Registered Manager, Operations Manager, and Service Managers.

General Responsibilities:

  • To provide professional support to all individuals in your care, as outlined in their care plans and assist in providing personal care as they require.

  • To support individuals to make informed decisions and choices about their lives.

  • Be capable to take the appropriate course of action in the case of emergencies.

  • Attend and participate in meetings as well as attend mandatory training and maintain continuing personal development (CPD).

  • Be able to handle problems tactfully and diplomatically whilst remaining fully transparent with the management team.

  • Keep safe and ensure the safety of others at work.

  • Be punctual and reliable.
